Call for Papers
The Department of Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz is pleased to host the 35th annual meeting of Formal Approaches to Slavic Linguistics (FASL 35), which will be held May 1st–3rd, 2026.
Invited Speakers:
Abstracts are invited for 20-minute talks and posters on all topics in formal Slavic linguistics, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics. We welcome theoretical work in any of these domains, and experimental work that speaks to linguistic theory is additionally welcome.
Instructions for Abstract Submission
- Abstracts must be in PDF format.
- Abstracts must not exceed two pages of A4 paper, including data and figures. References may be included on an additional page.
- Abstracts should have 1″ margins on all sides, set in a font no smaller than 11 pt.
- Abstracts should have a clear title and should not identify the author(s).
- Submissions are limited to one individual and one joint abstract per author, or two joint abstracts per author.
- All submissions must indicate whether the abstract is to be considered for a talk, poster, or both.
- Additionally, submissions will be asked to indicate a preference for either in-person or virtual (Zoom) presentation modality.
